The 4-I Four Step: A Practical Framework for Learning From Fear

This is a follow up to my interview with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor and The Beyonce email that introduced us! In this article, I I break down how easy it is to use neuroscience to overcome your fears. I call this process the FOUR I FOUR STEP!
IMO, everyone needs to learn this dance AND needs to learn to love this dance! The FOUR I FOUR STEP will help you break through mental and emotional roadblocks and finally help you understand WHY YOU’RE NOT MOVING FORWARD in your life.
As Dr. Jill explains eloquently in the introduction to Whole Brain Living, fear blocks new learning due to the gatekeeper function that the amygdala exerts on the hippocampus. Once the emotional gatekeeper (the amygdala) is assured of safety, the hippocampus can facilitate new learning and memory formation.
So without further ado, here’s the 4-I Four Step:

Integrate/Incorporate
